Who we are

Nyx is an indie developer tool. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

On the landing page:

Anonymous analytics (Plausible): page views, country, referrer. No cookies, no fingerprinting.
Your email if you join the waitlist — so we can send you the download link when Nyx 1.0 ships.

When you buy:

Your email address (to send you the license key).
Payment data is handled by the payment provider — we never see your card or crypto details beyond “paid / not paid”.

When you activate Nyx:

The app sends your license key and a hashed machine fingerprint to our license server to count activations (max 3 per license).
No code, no prompts, no file contents, no terminal output.

What we don’t collect

Your code, your prompts, your terminal output, your workspaces — all of this stays on your machine. Nyx never uploads any of it.
Your IP address is not stored alongside your license.
We don’t track which features you use inside the app.

What agents send

The AI agents that run inside Nyx tiles (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or any CLI you spawn) are online services run by their own providers. They send your prompts and code context to their servers under their privacy terms. Nyx is the workspace — it doesn’t intermediate or store any of that traffic.

How long we keep your data

License records: indefinitely (they’re your proof of purchase).
Waitlist emails: until launch + one “we shipped” notification, then deleted on request.
Plausible analytics: aggregated only, no raw logs.
Payment data: whatever the payment provider keeps per their policy.

Your rights

You can:

Request deletion of your license record (you’ll lose activation ability).
Request removal from the waitlist at any time.
Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

Changes

We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes will be announced on the landing page.
